/ WHAT WE FABRICATE

Five processes, kept under one roof.

Material in one door, finished and inspected out the other. Nothing subbed out where integrity is on the line.

Twin-head Fronius spiral cladding machines applying Inconel overlay under a blue arc.FIG. 01

Twin-head, twin-feed spiral cladding rigs. CMT overlay, Brownhills.

PROCESS 01

Weld overlay cladding

Inconel 625 and 686 weld overlay on the 360 degree spiral-wound machines. Cold Metal Transfer holds surface ferrite dilution to 0.55 percent, so the corrosion-resistant layer stays metallurgically clean. Two heads run day and night shift, with same-day turnaround on small quantities.

/ THE QUALITY DOSSIER

The stamps most fabricators never get.

Accreditation is the moat. Each of these took years to earn and is audited to keep. The rare ones sit at the top because almost no fabricator of this size holds them together.

RARE / 01
F4N
Fit For Nuclear

The UK nuclear industry's own readiness measure. Granted after a structured assessment of quality, capability and resilience. Few fabricators of this size hold it.

RARE / 02
ISO 19443
Nuclear Quality Management

The nuclear-specific quality standard built on ISO 9001. Required to supply items important to nuclear safety. A serious barrier to entry on its own.

RARE / 03
ASME
U / S / PP / R Stamps

American pressure-equipment code stamps for vessels, boilers, pressure piping and repairs. Rare for a UK fabricator to carry all four.

ESTABLISHED
1974
52 years on the same floor

Engineering high-integrity steel fabrication in the West Midlands since 1974.

Heathyards started as a tube manipulation shop and grew into one of the few UK fabricators trusted with nuclear-grade work. The capability was built the slow way: people, plant and accreditation, added over decades rather than bought in.

In 2016 the sealed nuclear workshop went up. In 2017 the Fit For Nuclear assessment was passed. The ASME code stamps, ISO 19443 and JOSCAR registration sit alongside it. A number of the welders on the floor today have served the company more than 25 years.

That continuity is the point. When the work cannot fail, the people who built it last time are still here to build it again.
